LIFE for dunes project conference

On Friday, 3rd of February 2023, an online conference took place organized by botanists of the Department of Plant Taxonomy and Nature Conservation, Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk. It concerned problems related to the protection of coastal dune habitats. The purpose of the conference was to establish an international consortium with a view to submitting to  finance activities in the field of dune habitat monitoring and restoration on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea. The conference was attended by 45 people – employees of research centres in Poland, Germany and Lithuania, representatives of the Maritime Office in Gdynia, as well as coastal national parks (Germany, Lithuania) and landscape parks (Poland).
